Acar; Indonesian's Simplest Dish and How to Make It




Acar is kind of preserved food. It usually served with another dish like Fried Rice, meat or chicken Satay, Martabak Telur, or we can eat it without any dishes.

The taste of Acar is sour and wry. That's why many people don't really like this food. Regardless of the taste, the food is very healthy and refreshing. Because all of the ingredients are vegetables. And how to make this meal is very simple. You don't need many stuffs to do it.

The ingredients:
- Cucumber
- Carrot
- Shallot
- Chili
- Salt
-Vinegar
- Sugar

All you have to do is, you just have to chop cucumber and carrot into a small dice, and llalso chop the onion into a small size. After all, you can put them into a bowl and mix them together with salt, sugar and vinegar sufficiently. Taste it. If you feel the taste is good enough, you can put it into a jar and keep it in the fridge for several minutes before you eat it. Or you can eat it right away without keeping it in the fridge first.
